The right lights can transform almost any space. And never before has there been such an amazing selection of designs on offer. It is an area that Lindsey Adelman has focussed on since opening her New York studio in 2006. Her design team works alongside glassblowers, platers and casters to create pieces that have led to accolades and awards. They also create glass-blown "curiosity vessels", wall ornaments and stalactites as well as tiles. However, Lindsey started out studying English Literature and then worked at the Smithsonian. From there she changed course to study industrial design, which led to forming the company Butter with David Weeks in 2000. They worked together until 2005 when Lindsey set up her own studio in Manhattan.
